Product Introduction

Sheep Panel is a welded wire mesh panel specifically designed for containing sheep, lambs, and other small ruminants in pasture, feedlots, and handling facilities. Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel wire (3.0mm–4.0mm diameter) with a tighter mesh aperture compared to cattle or horse panels, it prevents adult sheep from forcing their heads through and stops lambs from escaping under or between wires.

The panel features fully welded intersections, a smooth top edge (optional rolled or capped rail), and a rigid rectangular frame for simple post-to-panel attachment. Common uses include permanent boundary fencing, paddock subdivision, laneway construction, and portable electric netting backups.

The open design maintains visibility across the flock while providing a durable, low-maintenance barrier that suits both intensive and extensive sheep systems.

  • Fast installation with standard farm postsPanels ship flat and stack compactly. Attach to wooden, steel, or concrete posts using U-nails, wire ties, or pre-drilled bracket kits. Pre-formed lugs or pre-punched holes can be added for quicker fixing.
  • Visible flock managementThe open grid allows sheep to see other sheep and their surroundings, reducing stress and pacing behaviour. At the same time, the tight mesh prevents escapes and keeps predators (e.g., foxes, dogs) out.
  • Custom heights for different breedsChoose 0.9m for small breeds (e.g., Shetland), 1.1m for medium breeds (e.g., Suffolk), or 1.2–1.4m for hill breeds or areas with heavy dog pressure. Narrower widths and smaller mesh available for lamb creep areas.
